Navigo Card
A weekly, monthly or yearly credited card that allows you to use buses, trams and trains in Île-de-France.
- can be bought online (http://http://www.navigo.fr). or in most metro stations (take a passport-sized photo and piece of identity)
- for any students under 26 years old, it is recommended to apply for a yearly Imagine R card (http://www.navigo.fr/forfait-imagine-r.html), which offers discounted rates
- IPGP usually reimburses 50% of the transportation costs if you apply for it on the first floor (Highly recommended!)
Velib
Public bicycle sharing system seen throughout paris (http://en.velib.paris.fr). In order to use the system, users need to take out a subscription, which allows the subscriber an unlimited number of rentals.

- €29/year (Vélib' Classique)
- €39/year (Vélib' Passion).
(n.b. under 26yrs discount rates) afterwards, you can travel for periods of 30 mins (or 45 with Passion) for free.
