Applying for a PhD

PhD's at IPGP:
If you interested in applying for a Ph.D at IPGP or ENS and have not had any contact with a possible supervisor enter your information here and independly send a message to scol-ed@ipgp.fr (Doctoral School Secretary). You may also see the current projects offered here

In order to be registered in the Doctoral School, a student must meet (at least) the following requirements:

• A well defined Ph.D subject acknowledged by the Doctoral School.
• An advisor, who is part of a team at IPGP or within an ENS laboratory.
• A 3 year financing contract of at ~1400€/month.
• A research master degree (or a professionnal master degree with research experience).
• Qualified with merit (good) and/or was an outstanding student
• Applied for and was accepted after an interview for a position at the Doctoral School.

Necessary Admin for International Students

After being accepted to undertake your PhD at IPGP, it is advised that you begin to prepare your documents for health insurance/social security (since it can take over a year if badly organised) and also for accommodation. The other information here will guide you once you have arrived.
