Applying for a PhD
PhD's at IPGP:
If you interested in applying for a Ph.D at IPGP or ENS and have not had any contact with a possible supervisor
enter your information here and independly send a message to scol-ed@ipgp.fr (Doctoral School Secretary). You may also see the current projects offered here
In order to be registered in the Doctoral School, a student must meet (at list) the following requirements:
- Defining a Ph.D subject the pedagogic team of the Doctoral School must know about.
- Choosing an advisor depending on one of the teams in IPGP or a ENS laboratory and getting the agreement from the team manager.
- Having a 3 year financing contract of at least 1400€/month.
- Having a research master degree (or a professionnal master degree with research experience).
- Having qualified with merit (good) and/or being an outstanding student
- Applying for a position at the Doctoral School and being chosen after the interview.

Necessary Admin for International Students
After being accepted to undertake your PhD at IPGP, it is advised that you begin to prepare your health insurance/social security (since it can take over a year if badly organised) and find accommodation. The other information here will guide you once you have arrived.
